9th Annual Houston Afrifest at Houston Baptist University

Experience Africa at the annual Houston Afrifest celebrating nations of Africa through a the cultural experience in food, music, dance, art, and more. 

 

Houston's largest African festival will feature cultural music, dance and artistic stage entertainment from the communities of Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, including live soukous and zouk music, Afro-Brazillian drumming, West African dance, and more.

 

There will also be African storytelling and safari-themed activities for kids, family games, face painting, an Africa arena with country displays, more than 60 vendors with merchant craft, artwork, made-in-Africa goods and tasty cuisines from Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, Congo, and other countries.

 

Admission

Tickets are $5 in advance; $10 at the gate;  free for ages 5 and under and for students, veterans, and ages 60 and up (ID required for students, veterans, and ages 60+). Order tickets or learn more.
