Dickens on the Strand in Downtown Galveston

Galveston Historical Foundation presents the landmark 50th annual Dickens on The Strand, a holiday tradition with family programming, live entertainment, special ticketed events, select free activities, and more.

The annual holiday street festival, based on 19th-century Victorian London, features parades, non-stop entertainment on multiple stages, strolling carolers, roving musicians, bagpipers, jugglers, and a host of other entertainers.

Costumed vendors peddle their wares from street stalls and rolling carts laden with holiday food and drink, Victorian-inspired crafts, clothing, jewelry, holiday decorations, and gift items.

There are also a number of additional ticketed events throughtout the weekend, several hosted by descendants of Charles Dickens himself.

Events and entertainment is free on Fezziwig Friday.

Free on Friday; Saturday and Sunday tickets are $25; $18 for ages 7 to 12. VIP options are $1500.

Discounted tickets are available through Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23, 2023. Order tickets or learn more
