Black History Month at Lone Star Flight Museum

On select Saturdays in February, Lone Star Flight Museum offers hangar talks and programming where visitors can learn about the lives and legacies of African American aviators, their contributions in the face of discrimination, and the Tuskegee Airmen.

  • Saturday, February 4 – Hear the life and legacy of Bessie Coleman, first African American woman and first Native American to earn a pilot's license. 11:30am & 1:30pm.
  • Saturday, February 11 – Learn about Jesse Brown, a WWII Corsair Pilot and hero in the Korean War. 11:30am & 1:30pm.
  • Saturday, February 18 – Hear the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, as well as first-hand accounts from WWII Veteran Bob Wehnert. 11:30am & 1:30pm.

Admission

Tickets are $18; $15 for ages 12 to 17; $12 for ages 4 to 11; free for ages 3 and under. Order tickets or learn more.
