The Taco Mafia Takeover at J Bar M Barbecue & Beer Garden

The “Taco Mafia” will reunite at J Bar M in EaDo for the filming of the PBS documentary, Taco Mafia, which will highlight the group's culinary journey and establishment through their friendship, passion for tacos, and hurricane relief work benefitting the Relief Gang.

During the filming day, J Bar M pit crew members Chuy Ortiz and Pablo Contreras will also create their own take on a taco for a special Taco Mafia dinner menu. Explore the taco menu. 

The Taco Mafia is comprised of Austin-based taco legends Edgar Rico from Nixta Taqueria, Anthony Pratto and Xose Velasco from Discada, and Luis "Beto" Robledo from Cuantos Tacos, along with Houston's “Big Daddy Karne” Alec Varnell from J Bar M.
